Producing images whilst producing writing has become quite important to my practice. The more I write, the less I write towards conclusion, and what once was an impulse for putting 'truth' down, is now a medium of taking stock of truth, and playing with form towards the compilation of truths in any number of compositions... In imagery, meaning is slippery and interpretation is unnecessary — it is the right kind of footnote to accompany the ambiguities of text, and how endlessly it can organise truth. This is interesting because text has the appearance of certainty.
So while the politics I hold onto are clear to me, I also know that the chaos of collision between the soul and one's body 'politics' means straightforward communication styles are not viable/ sincere. Maybe pictures make some space for a soul?
